NFC Sharks 2026
Welcome to NFC Sharks year round program! We have participating locations in Knoxville, Maryville and Oak Ridge. Our year round program produces City Meet Champion level swimmers without the intensity, fees or commitment of a high level USA team. We promote kids having a practice load that prevents burn out and encourages kids to try multiple youth sports and extra curricular activities, while still maintaining a high technical skill level and competitive presence in swimming. We also love to keep the sport fun! With plenty of year round social events, practice meets and clinics to help kids remain engaged while building friendships and a love of sport.
*YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A National Fitness member to swim for us. We welcome swimmers from any of our surrounding areas, members or not! However, we do require that our year round kids remain with us, and not leave to another team, for our summer season. They practice hard together during the year so they can shine and have fun as a team in our GKAISA summer league! We have experienced coaches, fun events and a genuinely great summer team.
Swim Meets
We will be hosting multiple swim meets throughout the school year. They will be inner-squad meets held at our competition pool in the Maryville gym location. These meets provide great opportunities for racing practice and honing in on skills that will translate to middle and high school teams as well as keep our athletes prepared for our summer GKAISA season.
Parent Spectator Guidelines
One of the hardest things we ask is that you drop your child off for practice. We have found that by allowing your child this independence helps them learn and focus on the coaches without interruption. We started this process during Covid and haven’t looked back. Kids are far more engaged and focused on us as coaches. If you’d like to step in 5 minutes before practice ends to check out how they’re doing, we encourage it.
